Bio
Born in Los Angeles , California, "Stacie" started writing songs and creating characters as an 8 year old while driving through Europe in the back of her parents' compact Renault during their year-long teachers sabbatical. When she returned for the 4th grade, she practically missed yet another year of school when her teacher, also an aspiring songwriter, allowed her to sit in the, 'Art Alley' and paint and write songs all day instead of learning the regular school curriculum.
She regularly opened for her guitar teachers throughout Southern California performing her original songs. She debuted at McCabe's Guitar Shop at age 13. Because of her multiple achievements and awards in acting, music and art, she won the coveted Bank of America Fine Arts award as a High School senior. She played guitar, keyboards and sang lead in several College Bands and was then recruited by one of her college friends and band mates, Paul Lauer, to join and co-write for the band, Glass Target, which was signed to Unicorn Records , an indie label distributed by MCA Records, and featured in clubs like the Troubadour, Madame Wongs, the Roxy and on MTV. This inspired her to cut her hair at the time, in what is now considered sadly, just a mullet.
From a family of creatives, her uncles Tom and Charlie Byrne were early, pioneer animators who helped build and worked for animation studios like Walt Disney , MGM and Walter Lanz. John Byrne of The Abbey Theater in Ireland is her Great Great Uncle. She is also a decedent of the prolific classical novelists, the Bronte sisters on her mother's side. So far she does not believe she is a relation to either David Byrne or Gabriel Byrne as her free trial has expired on Ancestry.com so it's really anyone's guess at this point.
The only way she could get the floor and be heard at home was by imitating Marilyn Monroe and Julie Andrews so it was no surprise when she took her first voiceover class and her teachers (including Kat Cressida, Cynthia Songe, Susan Palwo) and guest Directors (including Ginny McSwain and Brian Nefsky) encouraged her to regularly pursue the voiceover craft.
In addition to her singing, songwriting, female voiceover and other entrepreneurial endeavors, she worked as the right hand for the Iconic TV entrepreneur and inventor, Ron Popeil for over a decade. At this time, she's not famous enough to be invited onto Dancing with the Stars, fat enough to be on the Greatest Loser, young enough to be featured on a TV voice competition show or, single. In her spare time, well actually...she has none. And for now, that's exactly how she likes it.
